Assault on the Nest

The Assault on the Nest was a covert operation undertaken by the Hidden Company to disrupt if not outright destroy Azgorach Horde and Host of Selephise forces occupying Cojaea Run, enough that Pact of the Blessèd forces could replace them. The goal was twofold: to weaken the Host's most dangerous forces, and to secure a foothold in Violet Accord territory.

The Conflict

Prelude

The Pact were initially going to wait for the results of the Seizing of the Ice Child to determine if Aev Jsou could be persuaded to assist the difficult task ahead; however, when this was unsuccessful the Hidden decided to undertake it anyway.

Deployment

The Hidden either disguised themselves and snuck into the Nest or were smuggled in by spies.

The Engagement

The Vil'rabenen sisters were the primary force utilized due to the nature of the enemy.

Outcome

Death of Joibri Vil'rabenen; death of a significant number of Azgorach and warlocks.

Aftermath

The Pact retained this foothold into the following year, which helped enable the Widow's Siege.

Historical Significance

Legacy

Although the Vil'rabenen sisters were known to be gifted, the Hidden's single-handed assault on such a stronghold cemented the sisters' reputation. In particular, Joibri's uninhibited strength and talent as a dual-wielder was able to shine to its utmost. Their observed actions better-enabled speculation of their bloodsinger ranking.
