Session 31 - Architect
General Summary
In Mechanus / Zeitundraum's Demiplane
After touching Zeitundraum , the party teleported to a pocket dimensional memory of the Clockwork Nirvana of Mechanus, the outer plane representing the alignment lawful neutral. There, they again met Bhaskar Distan'Vwaje. The New Frontier Adventurers told Bhaskar about meeting his avatar in his palace twice before after finding two other Hexabeyance, Aufklarung and Erathis' Charter. This time they had the Orb of Time and Space and Bhaskar was the one who was confused. In this memory of his, Bhaskar had only just starting designing Zeitundraum and had barely begun to realize that more artifacts would be needed in his work. He told them about Io's Wheel, the death of the god Io and the eternal struggle between Bahamut and his twin sister Tiamat, both born from the sundered Io. Bhaskar recently experienced a vision of Bahamut's death and the calamity would follow. Io's Wheel was a divine lock created to keep the madness of the Far Realm from spilling into the Outer Planes. For from there they could easily cross the Elemental and Transitive Planes to the Material Plane. Bhaskar expressed his high opinion of the Material Plane. After returning to their homeworld, the heroes left the Duthane family in the Cave of the Megaterrasque with Yohan Macaw | Birdman and ventured down the mountain to see what became of Sephadex | Adult Black Dragon and Tostyn-Tostyn | White Dragons. A thunderstorm raged outside, centering on the site where the two dragons fell. Gorgoroth Flamesbreath | Dragonborn Psi Warrior heard laughing that sounded like thunder and called his friends to investigate. S'thom | Grung Gloom Stalker Ranger guessed that the storms were unnatural and that Windrex | Adult Blue Dragon must be near. The blue dragon was soon spotted leaving the edge of the avalanche and bolted like lightning to Xak-Tsaroth. The party spotted a group ascending the mountain and waited for them in the snow. Later that day Tostyn-Tostyn flew around them and perched on an icy outcropping five hundred feet behind them, higher up on the mountain. Mordekai Silver | Orog and his band of fighters approached up the slope below them, effectively surrounding the heroes. Mordekai called out to them, speaking on behalf of the white dragon. Sephadex was dead. Tostyn-Tostyn claimed all of the black dragon's treasure horde and slaves. The group gave him a report of their recent actions. He was pleased with their help killing one of the young behir and luring the Trembling One from his hiding hole. As a reward, Tostyn offered the group a boon of their choice. Firstly, they asked for unhindered passage over Tostyns' Range whenever the group needed to come or go. Passage was granted, but Mordekai suggested they give a gift for Tostyn-Tostyn's treasure horde to show continued fealty each time they passed through the white dragon's territory. Second, they requested one or two of the new captives. Mordekai (after probably magically checking with Tostyn) granted them up to six slaves to do with as they would. Windrex was overseeing the transfer of power at Xak-Tsoroth, and the party was advised to speak with him about it. Renestrae | Eladrin Celestial Warlock produced the Golden Dragon | Airship and the team climbed in. They headed north towards the ruins of the sunken city from which they departed in haste the day before.Rewards Granted
