Barony of Minsloth (minz-loth)

Minsloth is a barony on the Caldar River in Lesser Imesse. It is roughly 1,500 square miles of some of the most productive land in the world. It has an economy that is booming, large harvests and a happy and safe population of some 61,000 souls. The city of Minsloth is the largest settlement in the barony with 14,000 people, followed by the city of Dell with 11,000.   The Baron of Minsloth is Ayden am Beldari, an energetic man with a strong eye towards income and profit. Ayden is the 13th Baron of Minsloth, as his father Amon am Beldari was granted the title after the 11th Baron, one Godric am Mollus, was disgraced and humiliated during the Colian and Cobal wars for corruption and cowardice.

Demography and Population

Primarily Human with a significant minority of Halflings living all along the river and near the City of Dell.

Territories

The Barony is on the east bank of the mighty Caldar River at a place that, for several weeks a year during the dryest season, allows horses to cross the three-quarter mile expanse of the river.  A huge shelf of hard-packed gravel allows horse and rider to cross the river nearly in its entirety where the horse is only saddle deep in the water, and only a single channel of deep water spanning roughly 60 to 80 yards needing to be swam.  This ford, known as the Ford of Minsloth, gives a temporary and oft changing location to cross the river without need of a boat or bridge.
