Barony of Jorick (jorik)

The Barony of Jorick is a busy, prosperous vassal division of the Kingdom of Lesser Imesse.  Ruled by Camden am Warrhim from the castle at Jorick, it has a diverse population of Humans, Halflings and Dwarves.  Producing tons of fish, cereal and meat food stuffs, and supplying markets with timber, pottery, ceramics and stone, the Barony is a booming example of a growing economy.

Camden rules absolutely in the name of the King of Lesser Imesse.

Culture

With several growing shires along the river, and counties in the interior churning out produce and resources by the ton, Jorick is a rapidly growing and very successful Barony.

Demography and Population

Population is 40,000.  60% Human, 30% Halfling and 10% Dwarf.  Largest city is Jorick, with a population of 10,000.

Territories

The barony controls a little more than 25 miles of east bank of the Caldar River, starting just north of the mouth of the Wessloth river and ending at the downriver start of the "Narrows of the Caldar".  The interior border of the barony runs roughly north-south and is about 15 miles east of the river at its widest point.

Agriculture & Industry

Jorick is famed for rich and highly sought after clay beds, from which the finest ceramics and pottery in the Kingdoms is produced and marketed to the world.  There are several large and very productive quarries that produce a fine grade of granite, as well as many peat farms.  Livestock, cereal and fowl farms abound, and along the banks of the Caldar are several shires that harvest fish, eels, beaver and ducks from the great river.
