Today was...interesting. We met one of the other teachers today, Jaanatimo and he seemed...curious? He spoke very cautiously and seemed to be trying to learn more about us, how we think. I suppose that's natural for a teacher but I do wonder why now? Possibly he's reacting to the Anadi students and the Griffon situation, as that seemed to be the focus. It felt nice to be able to talk about how I've been feeling at the Magambyaa, which honestly helped me process it a lot too.
He actually had some concrete suggestions on next steps with both the Anadi and the Griffon investigation, and they both involve enlisting some help from the other students. Honestly I don't know why we didn't talk to our dorm mates about this sooner. I'd be surprised if Esi or Strands didn't want to help, and honestly it will be nice to talk to both of them about the extracurriculars.
Ruin was a bit suspicious of his note taking and demanded to see his book after he was done writing in it, but I'm fairly certain he enchanted it, still it was nice of him to humor her, it was cute.
I still haven't come to any conclusions about the crush, too busy. I'm actually thinking of talking to Chizire about it once things calm down, he has really grown on me, and his experience is going to be very different from mine, so it will be useful to have his insight.
I'm looking forward to getting to know the Anadi and hopefully helping them integrate. The grrifon job is just that, a job. But helping the Anadi get better acquainted with the school feels much more like community building.
Oh and we also talked to Anchor Root today and got more information on her...bone lessons. Don't get me wrong her work is absolutely fascinating, I just hope she keeps all her bones...ethically sourced. It doesn't seem likely she will do anything that doesn't have Magambyaa approval, and even if Zuma (teacher Zuma not dad) is...eccentric... he wouldnt be here if he couldn't make those judgements. So for now I won't get worried about it. I will pay attwention though...only polite.
I should write to the family when classes start back up again. They will want to know when things are back to normal.
