Threat Assessment Report to be read by relevant Magambyaan or Nantambu authorities

The Hababe building has been infiltrated by at least three serpentfolk disguised as students. One of the serpentfolk was already dead in a hidden room (they had been moved post mortem). They appear to have reactivated some of the buildings defensive capabilities: namely at least one of the clay statues animating wards and a wooden construct (the last may have simply remained dormant, but the former has apparently had runes reactivated recently). In addition the serpentfolk have what are likely their own defences ( a curse of potent poison and at least two large serpents). They also appear to be gathering Formic acid, as well as solvents to neutralise this same acid. It is unknown how many serpentfolk have infiltrated beyond these three, but as they attempted their deception they referenced outdated information about the Magambyaa (claimed to be students of retired teachers.) Escalating suspicions of the group eventually led to combat, and so the serpentfolk are now all dead. They appeared to be attempting to either flee or lure us underground, so it is possible their base extends to some portion of the underground tunnels.

Recommendations:
1. Anyone with the skills to magically divine knowledge from the dead should employ it on the serpentfolk corpses.
2. A search of the Hababe building both above ground and under ground should be conducted at the earliest opportunity
3. any investigators involved should subject themselves willingly to a dispelling of illusions or a compulsion to reveal their true form, to eliminate the possibility of serpentfolk deception.

Today was...not good. It started off ok, we met the anadi students and we seemed to get on ok, we ended up inviting them to a festival event. One of them, Goss, seemed particularly enthusiastic about meeting new people, so I think they will enjoy getting to know the community, the others had less of an interest in people directly, but Droplets seems like they will really enjoy the culture. I don't know how much Threads will get out of the experience, but hopefully they find something of interest.
With the good parts out of the way, lets discuss the problems. I've written down a lot of the details in the previous page to hand in as a threat report, so I won't go over it all again...I nearly died again, and I wasn't the only one. Apparently there might be another deadly threat hiding out on school property. Serpentfolk... I hope to see prompt action on this.

I don't want the school to linger on this threat till there is another disaster like at the masking...gods the thought makes me feel exhausted
I'm going to talk to Illiara soon, she seems to know something about these serpentfolk, and it was her that saw through their deception, she might have some insight on where to go from here.
