Session 20230216 Reframing the caravan
General Summary
Bertrum's Journal
Dear diary,
It has been an exciting few days since we last spoke. I have been working tirelessly on a new structure for the caravan, made of Ironwood. The process was challenging, but the results are worth it. The enchantment makes the wood as strong as steel, and the structure is light enough to be mounted on the backs of the Yeddim. Fruitful Scrupulence was very pleased with the finished product, and it was a relief to see everyone riding safely on the backs of our mounts.
The journey to the next town was relatively uneventful, but we did make a few stops along the way. While travelling I began work on an enchanted forge that can function without the need for fuel. Yamak, my young apprentice, has been progressing well with his reading, and I gave him a book on metallurgy to help him with his blacksmithing skills.
We also hired five new guards for the caravan, but Nightshade was initially suspicious of them. She eventually warmed up to them, though, and we all arrived safely at the next town. We were told that we would only be staying overnight, so I'm looking forward to a good night's rest before we hit the road again. Overall, I'm pleased with what I have accomplished so far, and I'm looking forward to seeing what else I can create to help us on our journey. Until next time,
Bertrum
