Session 20240509 Artifact Shopping
General Summary
Bertrum's Journal
Dear Journal,
Verily, in the Salt Spire League, amidst the clamour of commerce and the whispers of intrigue, Nightshade, with her stealthy grace, hath ventured forth into the realms of barter and trade. 'Twas with cunning and artful negotiation that she hath secured two enigmatic artifacts of unknown provenance, adding to our growing cache of mystical treasures.
One such artifact, a marvel to behold, hath revealed its arcane nature through an experiment conducted upon the deck of our barge. Lo, as lightning didst rend the heavens above, it was revealed that this artifact hath the wondrous ability to attract and harness the elemental fury of the storm, transforming it into a wellspring of boundless energy.
The second artifact, spoken of only in whispers and lore, hath been found to possess a most peculiar power—a stasis field that doth ensconce a room within its grasp, preserving all that it contains in an eternal state of suspension. Thus doth it hold the promise of everlasting sustenance, a boon to our endeavours upon the barge.
Even as we awaited word from the Linowans regarding their proposed diplomatic rendezvous, a missive arrived in a most unexpected manner—a swift arrow finding its mark upon the very deck of our vessel. 'Twas a call to action, a plea for our aid in quelling the raids of Karnese marauders, that the path to diplomacy might remain unobstructed.
With resolve and purpose, we set sail once more for Riverforge, where our barge doth await its final preparations. 'Tis a time of industry and innovation, as I labor upon the completion of my treatise against the scourge of slavery, and plans are laid for the establishment of wool-spinning factories imbued with the wonders of magi-tech.
In this crucible of endeavour, Riverforge shall emerge not merely as a bastion of strength, but as a beacon of hope and progress, where the ideals of freedom and self-sufficiency shall flourish like the verdant fields of spring.
Yours,
Bertrum Blumenthal
