Last Hope

The edge of the world. Whatever lies beyond Last Hope is anyone's guess. A vast, unending wasteland of ice, snow, and death.

Last Hope was founded sometime around 200AV by a group of people who felt they had nowhere else to go; deviants, miscreants, criminals, all searching for a new life or to be left alone. So they travelled over the Jagged Iron Mountains, past the realm of Hoarfrost, Storm of Ruin, and into the unknown beyond. The people of Last Hope are rugged individualists, survivalists, and often quite rough-and-tumble. They rarely see outsiders, and trade with very few peoples. It is believed they have made an accord with several of the local trolls, a sort of alliance to allow peaceful hunting in the territory of so many monstrous beasts, allowing them to harvest fur and pelts and send them back across the mountains in exchange for supplies from Winterpyre, Frostberg or Skycrag.

Defences

The village is surrounded by a thick wooden stockade fence and a palisade wall, but otherwise features no real defenses. Should Hoarfrost, Storm of Ruin attack the town, it would be easily devastated as they have no arbalests or other skyward-facing defenses. This indicates whatever threats they face, they feel they will only come on the ground.
