Agents of the Followers of Raan are deployed to the Southern Coast Colonies by the Empire of Keoland as a peacekeeping force. Among them is Mystan Co'oquilan , who is sent to Saltmarsh
Virion Sylvenne arrives in Saltmarsh after Captain Eliander Fireborn requested his presence due to Isabella Blueson's body washing ashore
Ned Shakeshaft is hired by a mysterious figure to derail The Party's investigation into the Haunted House.
After the discovering of Isabella Blueson's body, the Town Council Council of Saltmarsh meet to assemble a Party of adventurers to investigate.
The Party is born, consisting of Mystan Co'oquilan, Fishcod, Melody Rose Hazel Turen, and Virion Sylvenne.
The Party enters the Haunted House, finding Ned Shakeshaft and Sanbelt's Gang, capturing the former and defeating much of the latter. After a bloody battle, they return to Saltmarsh.
The Party interrogates Ned Shakeshaft and Eva in the Saltmarsh Barracks and Jail.
When The Party returns to the Haunted House, they find the remains of Sanbalet and his gang. They then defeat him, and question him and his men. Afterwards, the group returns - prisoners in tow - to Saltmarsh
After taking Sanbalet's Gang into custody, The Party must inform the Saltmarsh Town Council of their findings. Suspicious of Gellan Primewater due to Ned's testimony, the party only tells some of the council some of the truth - largely at Melody's request.
During some downtime, Mystan Co'oquilan found and tamed Raiden, Fishcod worked for Keledek the Unspoken, Virion Sylvenne researched under Eliander Fireborn and Kraddok Stonehorn, and Melody Turen failed to tame a companion of her own.
The Primewater Family holds their weekly banquet in town, and The Party attends, seeking to find information implicating Gellan Primewater in the Blueson case.
Returning to the Haunted House, The Party finds the Alchemist (un)living deep in the basement. They strike a deal with him, and set about preparing for the Sea Ghost
The Party raides the Sea Ghost, meeting Oceanus while there. Victorious, they bring the ship and their prisoners back to Saltmarsh.
Melody Rose Hazel Turen decodes the encrypted note she found in Primewater Mansion, and shows it to Captain Fireborn - confessing all she and The Party had hidden from him.
Sanbalet and Eva are put on trial by the Saltmarsh Town Council, and are both found guilty - hung and sentenced to two years' prison with a year's hard labor, respectively.
Victorious, The Party settles in for a night of drinking at The Wicker Goat. Melody announces she will be leavingg for Seaton in search of her missing wife, Lilian Turin.
Captain Eliander Fireborn arrests Gellan Primewater on charges of smuggling, using evidence provided to him by The Party. Primewater is taken to Seaton and the Primewater Probe is started.
The Saltmarsh Town Council gathers with the remnants of the party to establish an expidition to investigate the Lizardfolk Lair and determine why the Lizardfolk are gathering weapons.
Uk-Thin Rolsar joins The Party on their next quest to understand what is happening at the Hool Marshes.
At The Snapping Line some Fishcod's past is revealed in a private conversation with Virion Sylvenne.
The Lizardfolk of the Lizardfolk Lair host a Potlatch, inviting local Koalith, Locatha, and Merfolk groups to try and form an alliance to stop the Sea Devils. The Party also shows up, univited and clueless that such an event was going on. While the Koalith decline the offer, the Locathah and Merfolk are very interested in the Alliance - as are the party, once they learn of the true enemy.
Under orders from the Saltmarsh Town Council, The Party - accompanied by Oceanus - makes for the Lizardfolk Lair aboard the Sea Ghost. When they arrive, the party is nealry eaten by giant lizards, and learns that not all is as it seems.
The sleepy town of saltmarsh errupts into protests and counterprotests regarding the arrest of and subsequent investigation into Gellan Primewater.
To prove themselves to Queen Othokent, The Party hunts for Ophuquait in the Hool Marshes. Along the way, they are ambushed by a mysterious druid and her rats. The battle with the giant salamander is brutal, but the party is victorious, bringing the beast's head back to the Lizardfolk Lair.
The Saltmarsh Town Council recieves word of the Aquatic Alliance between the Lizardfolk, Locatha, and Merfolk to drive the Sea Devils out of the region. The Council opts to join, and pledges their full support.
The party has a week of downtime and a lot of cash. Shenanigans ensue and sidequests are unlocked.
Beneath the Tower of Zenopus lies a strange cave. Keledek the Unspoken and Uk-thin Rolsar investigate it, finding the cave is much larger than either of them imagined...
Uk-Thin left Saltmarsh for The Styes to mourn their son, armed with an answer but yet more questions regarding their origin.
Mx. Blueson hosts a funeral for their two deceased children, and The Party attends, sans Uk-thin. Melody traveled from Seaton to attend the funeral, and she reunites with the party in the solemn rain.
The Party is called to the Solmor House by Skerrin Wavechaser. A business associate of the Solmor Family, Aubreck Drallion, has a quest for the party: recovering the Emperor of the Waves
