Located on the easternmost edge of Lake Virage, south of Gylidd Syn Aethri's Cann District, the massive stadium known as Cyfrin’s Citadel is the premier host to physical and athletic contests in Gylidd, from local sports events to Olympic-style games that welcome contestants from every Realm in Myzelis. People from all over journey to fill the stands for major events, which rotate with the seasons, and to partake in training. The Citadel serves as the epicenter, as well as start and end point for wide-ranging games and triathlons that may have teams trek up the nearby mountain ranges, through the Sea of Bones, and elsewhere throughout Gylidd.
The Citadel is also the training grounds of the Gylidder Guard, who maintain it year round as well as manage and organize it for events large and small. The general public is welcome, and there are frequently small-scale training classes, obstacle courses, sparring matches, and other physically demanding games filling Cyfrin’s Citadel between official events like those put on by the Gylidder Sports Leagues.
Cyfrin (SIH-frinn) himself was a masculine Gylidder Human, with just a tinge of celestial blood but not enough to be Aasimar, as well as a War Cleric of Glory. He is commonly depicted in art as holding a knotted rope overhead as though it were a crown, the red "sash" of victory awarded to contest winners.
