Decadence Bay
Facing the ocean with the mountains at their back, dozens of villas dot the coast where the nobles of Castille come to indulge themselves. The small towns and cities that support the region have little power but to accept the whims of their betters. Even the Queen herself has a string of villas that come down from the mountain all the way to the sandy beaches for her to enjoy.
History
Rumors and Tales:
• Drugs, fine and expensive alcohol, and 'gentleman's clubs' can be found easily, but access is restricted by membership and invite only. Commoners need not apply.
• Cocoa, sugarcane, and citrus have recently been introduced to the region, allowing for easy access to these luxurious foods and drinks.
• Once a year, the nobility host a big masked ball. A section in the bowels of the manor houses is set aside for the really decadent, 'Behind closed doors" sorts of hedonism.
• Noble houses and property means expensive things and goods. Sometimes, thieves come through and try to steal cool things from the nobles. It's said that sometimes they even make a competition out of it to see who can steal the most valuable thing without being caught or killing anyone.
• The Queen of Castille hosts foreign dignitaries and diplomats here to impress them and gain favor.
• Wine is imported from the countryside and neighboring nations by land, though bandits are known to accost and raid these wine wagons.
