Dear Dad,
We began work today with the city council, along with 3 other really interesting people who had been recruited.
A Dragonborn named Throden. He has black scales and these piercing red eyes. I think he's a paladin. Xenyria and him seem to have a past, though it sounds recent, she trusts him and he trusts her. He is followed by 3 red kobold named Kosj (small) Nurh (ugly) Rhyvos (cow). They are so cute!!
A Half-Orc who I think is a Professor. Unfortunately not of Skyrise, he says he's a professor of history chronicling and archaeology. Gorjun's his name. A wizard, by the looks of his books. He seems brash and lacks empathy, though I can't blame him for being more interested this job for the money. After all, that's why I'm here.
Then there's a Goliath who'd named Edelweiss. A cleric who's the the tallest of the bunch, around 7'. He acts a little slow, likes to narrate what he's doing and considering he thinks that Throden's kobolds are chickens, he's not too educated. But he acts respectful and kind. I like him already.
We met the entire council of Boatwright, which was kinda surprising and nerve-wracking. We aren't a group of Boatwright citizens, not even in the slightest, but the entire council was leaving this job in our hands. Though they did specify that they are short on guards to handle these things, because there have been trouble with kobolds taking over the city's mines. I know one of those mines is where Reynard works, so I think I have more than enough motivation to do this job.
Council:
Simon Lester (Orange) From Lester Trading Co.
Bran Hornraven (Green)
Drusilla Pashar (Red)
Jelenneth Wasanthi (White)
Ymot (Blue)
Rendar Dundragon (Gray) Appears to be the newest member, and has also recruited the 3 new people we met
Havilar Linxakasendalor (Yellow)
Ildrex Hashphronyxadyn (Turquoise)
It took about 8 hours to make it to the Southern Mines, so it was a long caravan ride. I slept through most of it. The rest of it we were tricking Edelweiss and Xenyria into believing that kobolds really are just foreign chickens. And then Melecha and Xenyria convinced everyone else I had a child named Charlie waiting for me back at home. It was all fun and games of course, but they took it a little too seriously. It's going to be too easy for the two of them to be fooled.
When we finally arrived at the Southern Mines, we found plenty of caverns and flushed out the kobolds inhabiting them,. Though There is still much more of the mines to go, I'm sure we haven't seen the last of them.
Don't worry too much about us! We have these really big dudes leading the charge and we're being careful of course.
Love always,
Misfortune
