Hello Father!
First off, Melecha says hi. She and I spent most of today together, which was a bit of a breath of fresh air after spending so much time with a much larger group. I got to talk to her about all the stuff going on in my head, which I'm sure you would have advised me to do way back when I started getting conflicted. She agrees with me though, that there's a lack of synergy with our crew and some of them can be pretty dangerous when we're in a tough spot. So we promised each other to look after ourselves. I mean, we always do, but it was nice to assure each other.
She also helped me get my courage; there's someone here in the city who's been to Skyrise!
I've been a bit nervous to go and talk to him, but Melecha insisted we go and speak to him. His name is Ymot, he's a council member here in Boatwright. He gave of a lot of info on the school which was very helpful. So, I don't need a really hefty tuition or anything, but I do need to be good enough to make it through their rite of passage. According to Ymot, it's different for everyone so he couldn't really give me any pointers on what to expect. Though my confidence is waning. If I couldn't even figure out what to take from that trial thing we were a part of, I don't know how I could possibly prepare for this rite of passage. Not that I'd be getting there any time soon, I'm afraid. The last time he made contact with the school, Ymot learned that they would be passing over the northern land nearby to Nemfaldihr around Years End Feast to Year Day. Even if I left now to try and make that deadline, I don't know if I could make it. After that, Ymot had no idea where the school may be headed.
I hope you don't worry too much about me though. I'm a little deflated after learning that I'm not at all prepared for a school I may not even be able to find, but Ymot told us wonderful stories of his time there. It's really all that I had wished; like-minded students and teachers reaching for a goal of knowledge and betterment of their abilities. And there's a magic field around the school that'll keep my asthma from kicking in due to the height! So I'm quite excited nonetheless. For now, I will remain here and do the jobs we are given in order to fund our continued journey around the continent.
I hope you and the others are well! We miss you all,
Misfortune
