Deerborough

Originally a small village on the shore of one of the lakes neighboring the Heart of Trast. Some time around 570 PIC, the population was mysteriously wiped out in a flood. The waters never receded fully; just under half of the previous population has been accounted for, suspended in permanent sleep beneath the waters. 
Stories spread throughout the midnorthern valley that the village fell victim to the manipulations of some monster, and paid the ultimate price. It continues to be told as a cautionary tale to youth in order to teach them not to trust strangers. The village is considered cursed, so no one has ever tried resettling it.
