Heart of Trast

A massive fresh water lake in the center of the continent. Tributaries feed into it from the Adamant Mountains and Dawnslight Ridge, while other rivers connect the great lake to smaller neighboring lakes, and one exceptionally large river carries water out through the swamp to the Viridian Gulf.
In somewhat recent years, two towns have sprung up on opposite sides of the lake, living off of the abundant fresh water fish. Trade between them is done by road routes, as when they attempted to run a ferry across the water, the ship and all of her crew vanished. Since then, a resident or two from the towns have been going missing every few weeks.
