The Namazús River1 is one of the longest rivers in Emlas and the most important one in the eastern part of the continent. The ancient Ilaxarans, one of Gætíus' World's oldest civilizations, built their civilization along the river, along with other cultures such as Vanrans along the uppermost part, Akalúrans further down, and Þekkals near its delta.

Geography
The river originates in the southern Zamra Mountains, from where it flows south and then eastwards through the Zúdalikí Desert. Unlike most rivers in the desert, it doesn't dry up during the summer, but glacial melt during the spring and early summer causes it to flood unpredictably, often causing significant damage to surrounding fields and structures.
