The Wilds
Bordered to the West by the Westfork, to the north by the Nordmarian mountains, to the south by the sea, and to the east by the Dragontail Mountains, this continent has been dubbed the Wilds with no unifying story or faction remaining in the continent. The continent houses a variety of regions, among which the vast Red-Waste, the Yokuda Mountains, the Talon Mountains and the eastern dales of the Dragontail Mountains. Apart from the lands above the surface, the Kingdom of Mazaar can be found underground spanning a large region under the Red Waste.
History
As the Wilds have never housed a unifying empire of sorts, no general history exists for this continent. Rather it houses many different smaller kingdoms and such, with much wilderness remaining between these. However the greatest event transpiring in the continent is likely the Girger's Curse, where the Girger cursed the Kingdom of Thedas with his dying words forming the Red Waste as a result.Regions
The Red Waste
Where once the proud kingdom of Thedas stood, now one finds a giant desert of red sand achieved through the Girger's curse. Still brimming with the undead spawn from the curse and with little to no food or water in the region, the Red Waste forms a natural border between the Western Reaches of the Continent, the Eastern Dales of the Dragontail Mountains and the corrupted Northern Wastes.Eastern Dales of the Dragontail Mountains
The Eastern Dales were spared from the Girger's Curse and as a result is still full of vegetation and wildlife. Through the years, many wars have transpired in these lands with the latest being the conquest of Azhidal. Many cities are found in this region with Angmarian roots:- [Angmar
- Ungar
- Blood Moon
- Isgaroth
Geldrin
Similar to the Eastern Dales, the former province of the kingdom of Thedas known as Geldrin was saved from the Girger's Curse. Once home to the Bands of Brothers this region is now also occupied by Azhidal's Warband. Settlements found within this region are:Yokuda Mountains
Located at the southern coast of the continent and serving as a border to the Red Waste, the mountain reach serves as an extension to the natural border of the Red Waste between the Eastern and Western part of the continent. The dales found in the Yokudan mountains are inhabited by clans of Samurai known as the Yokuda Empire keeping Azhidal's warband at bay on their eastern border. On its western border the Lands of Orsinium are located. Settlements in this region are:- Tajamu
- Hatima
- Hitari
Lands of Orsinium
Once inhabited by many orc tribes waging war on one another, these lands were united under one banner by the Angmarian Varkrass founding the Kingdom of Orsinium. Although there still is an occasional conflict between the proud followers of Malacath who seek to free Orsinium of Varkrass's influence, generally the Kingdom is at peace within its borders. Outside its borders however it is often at war with the Wildling bands of the Southern Wilds, the Trolls & Giants of the Talon Mountains, and the Samurai of Yokuda. The following settlements are found in the lands of Orsinium:- Wrothgar
- Bugrak
- Orsinium
- Koroth Gar
- Mor-Amon
Southern Wilds
This region is characterized by its innate wilderness, recently housing a great war against known as the Wild Hunt. Few settlements are found here, with most settlements being destroyed or abandoned over time.Talon Mountains
Bordering the Southern Wilds and the continent of the Westfork, the Talon Mountains is home to a kingdom of Giants and a host of Trolls waging war one one another. Furthermore, a sealed off entrance to the city of Mazaar can be found in the mountain reach.Western Reaches
While the western reaches of the continent used to house many wildling tribes, these lands have been annexed by the The Night's Watch occupying most settlements in this region now. Settlements found here are:The Undergrounds
Below the Red Waste a vast underground tunnel network made by dwarven craft can be found with at its center the magnificent capital of the Kingdom of Mazaar: Mazaar. Apart from the dwarven city, many goblin caves are found close to the city's cave network, along with many minecrawler nests.Northern Wastes
The place of origin for many great necromancers, Gorgorath can be found central to the northern wastes. Most of these lands are filled with dead creatures and some undead through the corruption spreading from Gorgorath.
