Cathedral of Light

A grand temple to Loreali, Goddess of Healing & Light, this building is an open and welcoming place to all. The Acolytes and Priests of the Order of Life and Mercy keep the building immaculate and there is always someone around to speak to, or private areas to worship.   There are services daily in the morning, though the most popular day to attend is Saturday, with a sunrise ceremony followed by a social gathering over breakfast. Services are often attended by a wide range of people, from nobility to the poor. The Chanceller has been known to attend on high holy days of the church. Services are usually lead by the High Preistess of the temple, though New Dawn celebrations are lead by the Benefic herself.   In addition to services and worship, the cathedral also houses a library dedicated to the history of the Church of Loreali, lore about the goddess, and a private collection of artifacts as well as simple meeting rooms and classrooms for instruction of basic medical training (first aide).

Architecture

The cathedral is a gorgeous two-story building made of bright white stone, with soaring windows and a glass ceiling to let in the light. The floors are white marble mixed with gray in the main areas and beautiful, polished wood everywhere else. The main altar of the church is placed in front of a wide arch of windows that face East to capture the light of the rising sun.
