The Rocky Road Roadhouse
As you get closer to where Parin told you the Rocky Road Roadhouse was located, you begin to see a small collection of fields and small shacks and huts, with the tall structure of the Roadhouse in the distance. You also find a collection of peasants working in these fields.
As you approach the inn proper, you can see a well-made estate not very far from it; the inn dwarfs this structure, being nearly twice its size. A large brick tower-like building, the Rocky Road is already filling up with merchants travelling the long road to the capital of Schinter, like yourselves. A faded wooden sign in front gives its name and the image of a road snapped in half like a bundle of sticks.
Inside, the fire is warm after trudging through the chill valleys of eastern Schinter, and you find the rooms to be comfortable, if a little cramped.
Purpose / Function
The Rocky Road services the various travellers making their way between Losgate and Gratic City, or those heading northwards towards the dwarven hold of Nêdâni. It also makes a great deal of money for Éranos Kiltargos, the owner of the nearby estate and the owner of the land the inn stands on.
History
The family of Éranos Kiltargos has owned the inn, the estate, and the nearby land for generations, possibly even as far back as the Gratic invasion of the land. The inn is only about 150 years old by comparison, but it is still quite ancient.
