House Hik

House Hik is a minor noble family in the Sypi Confederacy. One of the few noble houses to survive the civil war and retain their power, they are what counts for the center of Ittaben aristocracy. They are best known for being one of the few landed aristocrats in the Confederacy that supported the Bienombe tribe during the civil war. They were rewarded for their service and support by being recognized as the official lords of the land by the new High Chief. They have since gained a reputation as wine barons, providing the wealth and wine to the people of Ittaben.

Public Agenda

House Hik is one of the few prosperous and powerful noble houses in the Sypi Confederacy, and typically they are ignored by most of the tribal elements of the nation, being viewed as soft or worthless. The leaders of the house have mostly leaned into this reputation, particularly following the devastation of the Civil War. They have sought to become ignored by the tribal groups, in the hopes of preventing the raids that occasionally occur between tribes. For the most part, the house remains silent domestically and refuses to engage beyond generalized support for the High Chief.

Assets

House Hik directly owns three of the wineries around the town of Ittaben. These wineries provide the majority of work and wealth for the people of the town, and the coffers of the family are flush with lucre. The house frequently hires tribal mercenary guards to enforce their will as needed, including in the protection of their estates and holdings around Ittaben. Some of these are more loyal than others, primarily being hired from the Mineter Tribe and associated clans.
