Ke'Zani Tribe
The Ke'zani tribe is a predominantly goblin tribe that occupies the easternmost regions of the Sypi Confederacy, living in the Cotaw Highlands along the Mobtens River. They are well known for their occasional raids across the river into the Kingdom of Bamard, and their affinity for gadgets and devices. The Ke'zani are considered to be the more civilized of the two Confederate goblin tribes.
Structure
The Ke'zani tribe is led by a single chief, much like the other tribes of the Sypi Confederacy. This chief has absolute power over the tribe, but can appoint delegates to handle any affairs between clans within the tribe and diplomacy with other groups within the Confederacy. The chief is selected by a process known as the Invention Trial, in which case, the chief is selected upon the death of the old chief, by merit of any invention they may present to the tribe. The inventions are usually praised most for their side effects and display, and often those who make people laugh the hardest are the ones selected by the tribe.
Public Agenda
The Ke'zani tribe are fairly neutral in the politics of the Sypi Confederacy. They attempt to stay above and out of the fray with the political process, despite their own engagement against the Sihkas and the Church of the One Sun. The Ke'zani have simply asked to be left alone so that they can continue to pursue their bizarre and inane inventions without interference from the government in Wofslar. They also cooperate occasionally with the Saru tribe to undertake raids into the Kingdom of Bamard.
Demography and Population
The majority of the Ke'Zani tribe consists of goblins who have left their old ways behind. Unlike their brethren in the Ke'Kaci tribe, however, they have actually begun to accumulate a minority of other races within the tribe. The largest of these are the mountain gnomes who have found some elements of interest and talent among the goblins for invention. Their odd inventions and previous influence from the gnomes have allowed the gnomes to settle among the tribe with relatively little conflict, as the goblins treat them with a sense of awe. Some humans and even orcs have also found a home among the goblins, finding their ways of life to be exciting at the very least.
