House Parrish
House Parrish is one of the few noble houses present within the Sypi Confederacy, and is the only one to have survived the civil war with its lands and holdings intact. The Parrishes are best known for being patrons of beers and ales throughout Confederate territories, and have created their own pioneers in the art and craft of brewing. Although much of the house's wealth was lost during the chaos of the civil war, they have somewhat begun to recover in recent years. They are well respected among the tribes that survived the conflict, and known as loyal supporters of Wofslar and the High Chief.
Public Agenda
The leaders of House Parrish have been enthusiastic for the independence and freedom that the structure of the Sypi Confederacy provides. Although their support of the tribal ways have occasionally ended with violence with the public, they continue to advocate for Quico Bienombe and his efforts to preserve traditions and laws throughout the nation. They fiercely resist any incursions by so-called "organized religion" and have outlawed the very presence of the Church of the One Sun and their constituent agencies within the confines of the house's territory.
Assets
The Parrishes were once far wealthier than they are today, the civil war having done enormous damage to their fortunes. The grain fields were burned, and the granaries themselves were sacked to feed the armies of the seven year long conflict. Today they own the largest of the breweries present in Grenadd, and have encouraged competition to join them in the field. They have begun to accrue some of their wealth back, being able to afford a handful of tribal mercenaries to protect their holdings and the town itself from incursions. They also retain on staff some of the Confederacy's only inquisitors, seeking to root out hidden Sun congregations within their borders.
