The Frog Colony
Unlike the original Menagerie, the new frog colony is not actually a part of the Vrost Sanctuary’s infrastructure. Located to the East of Raven’s Perch and to the North of the Vrost Sanctuary itself is a lake that now operates as the Frog Colony. No longer completely isolated, Ravens of the Wilderness Department are able to monitor how the Frog Colony interacts with the overall ecosystem.The Aviary
Smaller than its predecessor, the Aviary is still a glass domed structure that houses cloudkin and other flying beasts. The only exception is the larger cloudkin that cannot be contained within its walls. These ones are tagged at set loose on the island so long as they are not classified as dangerous.The Carnivore Den & Herbivore Fields
Housing all types of carnivorous beasts for the sake of research, the Carnivore Den is one of the most dangerous places in the Vrost Sanctuary. Likewise, the Herbivore Fields are where those beasts that only feed on plants are kept, though many of them can be just as dangerous as the Carnivores. Only those trained in animal safety are allowed to feed the beasts and clean the pens. All creature pens are marked with danger levels, information for that particular species and how it interacts in the world, as well as where it’s found.Ejinn's Promise
The aquarium of the Vrost Sanctuary is split into two sections, the Off-Shore Deep Sea section and the Riverland section. The former is located on the coast that borders the Sanctuary where sections of the ocean itself have been blocked off to create an Ocean-style habitat. Along the land wall portion of this habitat is a descending structure allowing for the viewing and study of aquatic life for those who would rather not go diving. The Riverland section is on the land itself, but connected to the land wall viewing structure of the Off-Shore section. Much to the despair of a majority of the Wilderness Department, except the weirdos who are fanatics about Vilekin, the structure for housing and caring for Vilekin was also transferred to the Vrost Sanctuary. The disdain for this is found in its name as Yrys and other Ravens of the department agreed it was a bad idea. They don’t have anything against Vilekin, but a building filled with them is a different story. Still, this structure plays host to a number of different Vilekin species. These creatures are studied here, as well as used to gather materials that are produced by them for the use in Alchemy.Architecture
