Report on Your Lordship's new neighbours: the Fief of Glass

Summary
Fief location: South West quadrant of the city, in ring 2/7.
Number of towers: 27, median fief size.
Tower height: 50-100 floors.
Inhabitants: 45k.
Leader: Lady Olénie.

Activities
Government: All in the The Lady's Tower, a few floors below her private apartments. Official "gathering points" are in the middle of each tower, with offices where the lady's representatives can be contacted and for gathering during emergencies.
Main activity: Glass making, located near the bottom of the Glass towers so that the glass absorb magic from the regular flooding. Delicate glass instruments are crafted in the upper floors.
Farming: Larante flowers to make flour for local consumption, Soulmates' flowers' to make wine for export, a small amount of dye flowers for local trade activities, animal breeding for local consumption (rabbits, ducks, chickens, pigeons).
Entertainment: Few available apart from public games and story telling.
Basement

Location of accesses: in the Lady's Tower only.
Limitation of access: All other basements have been officially walled up, but holes appear regularly in them and are not repaired promptly.
General attitude in the fief: Most people will not report holes opening in the walls even if few would risk going themselves to the basement and the undergdround cave to access imperial relics. These holes always leaves the risk of magic manifestations finding their way upwards.
Plants Many plants take roots directly underground and so absorb a high amount of magic, leading to interesting but dangerous crops. Most of those are used as materials for industry, but an alarming large number is consumed directly, such as their infamous Soulmates' wine.

Water
Towers equiped with water access: 25/27.
Type of water equipment: Pump going from the underground river to fountains at different levels of the towers and to the farms.
Towers unequipped with water: Delivery of water buckets thrice daily.
Sewer maintenance: Exemplary.
Water purity: Purifying instruments are being put in place in their section of the river, but the system is still quite weak. Nevertheless, the water is not particularly contaminated—at least for now.
Particularities
Tower maintenance: All towers are in surprisingly good order as the lady has used a lot of time and resssources on this since coming into power. This has created tensions with many of her people who would have prefered these to be spent on more concrete benefits for them.
Balconies: The fief used to have strong contact with its neighbours in previous generation, and so all border towers have balconies reaching out. This is something you can use, my lord. Seeing you communicate with her is likely to incite unrest in her people, whatever you choose to say.
Refuge: For painted magpies.

Magpie refuge! Cute! And I am glad the Lady puts significant effort into maintenance.
