Report for the attention Lord Adélème—Your new neighbours

My Lord, following on my report on your new neighbours, the Fief of Glass and their lady, here is one on the head of their armed forces, Dame Louise.

Her life

Her Past
Dame Louise was orphaned when she was young and became a basement urchin. As she proved to have a knack for surviving encounters with magic manifestations, the previous lord took her as one of his child spies.   She was thus sent through the cave system under the city to visit over fiefs and gather information, a task that by all account she accomplished with brio for a number of years.   It is presumably during this time that she first encountered Lady Olénie and became close to her.
Her Links with the Lady
When Lady Olénie made her bid to seize the fief. Louise was the first to support her, which has gained her the full trust of the lady to this day.   This got her the position of head of all armed forces in the fief, of the lady's bodyguard, and, rumours are, of her best friend.   This has made her the second most powerful person in the fief, and perhaps even the most influential one, as contrary to the lady, people admire her.

The consequences

Her Influence
Her role in the politics of the fief has given her a deep influence in all aspects of its life; common opinion in the fief is that she is consulted about everything and is even the one actually making all decisions related to safety.   She seems to have a conservative, traditionalist mindset, although she often takes example on other fiefs thanks to her past. The lady would be the one with all the strange new ideas, in particular around education.
Her Skills
Her past has proven that she is a very talented and skilled fighter to even be able to survive magic manifestations.   She is also highly intelligent and able to blend in with others or make herself pleasant enough to gather information and get what she wants out of people.   This has given her a superiority complex and manipulative tendencies.

A scandal?

The artist
Dame Louise is known to have made the lady's official portrait and that of a few other top government officials. She is a skilled artist and since she would personally know a lot of politicians and people from other fiefs, there are rumours that she would be the one to have made a series of offending caricatures that are circulating in this corner of the city.

Example of works suspected to be by Dame Louise   In the past decade, a new trend for scribbling caricature doodles on letters and official posters has spread all over the city. I have strong reasons to believe that Dame Louise is the original artist that started this—my lord, please consult my report on the subject for more details.

Fiendish Foreigners
In addition to the insulting stereotypical portraits of these political figures, they were all originally used to narrate little humoristic strips or to recontextualise in an offensive manner the text next to which they were drawn.

Recommendations
I would advise your Lordship to attempt to recruit Dame Louise at our side, as she would make a useful addition to our ranks.   However, her loyalties to the lady are likely to get in the way if the lady herself does not prove cooperative enough. In that case, Dame Louise will be the most important obstacle we will face in the fief and it will be a priority to get rid of her.

This was a very fun read! Do you think you'll post some example comic strips one day?

Thanks! That was the initial idea but I ran out of time and since I didn't have any specific idea for them I decided not to bother. I'll see if I get an idea now that I have more time, maybe from the recent events of the world...

I really like the in-world narrative of this article, might have to try that in one of my future articles. Good job :)

Really nice article! I really enjoyed how it read like a report, the organization is super cool, and I love all of the doodles throughout the article. This figure seems like one that should not be trifled with!

Thanks you <3 All the doodles have been super fun to make!   Yes, Louise likes to appear fun and approachable, but this is only a trap to manipulate people :p

Love the pencil work. Even simple doodles can be used to convey a complex story. The portraits are wonderful and it's nice when challenge categories allow things to be tied together like with your Formation entry.
