Odyssey's Ruin
Once a prospering and powerful city, the denizens sowed their own destruction when a cult dedicated to the Archdevil Mammon was allowed to spiral out of control. This culminated in the greedy cultists taking power over the government of the city, causing it to fall into disarray and decline in order to fill their own pockets. In a final act of greed, the merchants who ran the city attempted to open a portal to the lair of hell known as Minauros. When the portal opened, they were promptly slain by one of Mammon's servants and opened a devil incursion on the material plane. This incursion was stopped by a group of adventurers, combined with the efforts of Stratosi warriors, Meletis' powerful clerics, and a small force of warriors from the Cerulean Oracles.
The city now remains a ruin, and any effort to repopulate the area has lead to the corruption of its denizens. For now, the tear in the material plane is still to thin, and there is now a permanent installment of warriors and holy advisors to prevent any further devil incursions.
