Guildhall
The Little Warriors Adventurers Guild was founded in antiquity out of the wreckage of Nathrael's betrayal of the gods. The guild built their fortress to protect the World Tree, through which they traded peacefully with other worlds in the multiverse and brought their wonders back to Elanora.
The Kingdom of Braeland initially prospered thanks to a long and stable alliance with the Guild, but some say Braeland grew too reliant on the Guild's power. For the last hundred years law has been barely present in Elanora as the Guild turned its attentions to other worlds, while the Kingdom of Braeland first crumbled, then shattered. The Hall remained as a beacon to the local populace, but in later days has become a beacon not of hope so much as of unattainable opulance and decadence.
While Nathrael did not survive his return to the Material Plane, neither did the Guild Hall. From the outside, the Hall looks like an old fortress built into a mountain on a southern spurt of the Pizol range, a rival even to the old dwarven halls. But for all its power, the Guild Hall appeared rather small on the inside. 12 large rooms on a single floor surrounding a large tavern and the central chamber of the World Tree. The guild relied on the Tree's abilities to provide it with limitless pocket dimensions to provide storage rooms, barracks for its members, training facilities, additional libraries and the like. With the Tree corrupted and all but dead, the shattered remains of the 12 primary rooms and the tavern are all that remain of the Hall's former splendor.
The ports that ferried goods from other worlds onto the Tanquary river remain largely intact and are a rival to those on Tanquary Bay. Of late they have become underused and merchants have grown accustomed to bypassing them - as the Guild turned more and more to otherworldly trade, it became impossible for locals to compete with all the wonders of the multiverse, so only nobles looking for a specific object that could not be found on Elanora (and willing to pay a king's ransom to obtain it) had cause to visit.
To some, the Hall's destruction heralded the end of Elanora's last, best hope at restoring the order of the old kingdom. To others, the apparent end of the guild brings something they haven't tasted in centuries...
...Opportunity.
