New Players
First of all let me welcome you to the game. Everything is currently under development or being edited, so I appreciate your patience while I try to get things just right. There is a lot to read, so if you'd like a good place to start, I would check out Character Concepts, House Rules, and Campaign Introductions,(Culling the Storm, The Dunwich Conspiracy, The Outsiders, The New World Order). This should give you a good idea whether or not you are interested in investing more time into the lore and background. If you want to dive further in after that, Regional History is a great resource for understanding the setting.
The world takes its inspiration from a ton of sources, but the picture that started the whole idea was done by Manuel Dominguez. His designs for "Very Large Structure" were in turn inspired by the architect Ron Herron and his "Walking City" concepts that introduced the idea of autonomous cities capable of chasing the world's diminishing resources. I have tried to include elements from the majority of the Fallout games in current cannon, however I definitely favor the earlier games when coming up with content.

Those looking to start their own games or join a wider variety of settings should also check out the Other Games article. There are several resources linked to connect you with communities I have found that are always looking for both players and people already running their own campaigns.
