As I heard the voices, the spider scurried away to hide. I opened my eyes to see Jyrone, Mammon, and Grin in front of me. I figured I must have been dreaming, but they cut me free, and I fell to the ground, feeling pain in my knees. The pain made me realize I was not dreaming, and I stood up, trying to shake the woozy feeling.
I felt strangely weak, and I realized it was because the spiders were ice elemental. Although they couldn't kill me, since I didn't have blood, the ice magic had taken its toll on me. The group tried to leave, but I told the group that I had a mission to complete first.
I regret to tell this next part of the story...
The group killed a number of spiders, and even the queen herself. They fought well, but fighting was not necessary...
I healed their wounds using the new "cure wounds" spell I had learned, and we went deeper into the cave.
There we found a legendary place known in stories as a dungeon.
We evaded some traps and looted some of the old rooms. I found a healing wine, but I used it to save Grin, so now I have an empty apple-shaped bottle. I also found some books: one on necromancy, one on carpentry, and a third...
I– I don't know why I grabbed it. It was called "The ways of love". Perhaps that was what I felt when thinking of Noelle. And upon realizing this, I quickly grabbed the book. Grin saw me though, and I hid it quickly, feeling rather ashamed. We met some baby spiders along the way, and thankfully I was able to convince them to let us explore, with the exchange of being quiet and not disturbing the spiders.
However, we found some journal entries that I took for the head mage to see when I returned. They spoke of a prisoner, who was trying to escape, and their work on necromancy. We found this prisoner... he was an elf that was fused with a giant spider's body. His legs were frostbitten into the spider, but they were still attached thankfully. We got him out and lead him out of the cave and to the medics.
There, I got to meet Grin's horse for a short moment, and we got the elf safely to the medics.
