Day 3
I woke up quite early this morning, so while Red was asleep, I foraged for berries and other things to eat. I also talked to a lot of the local wildlife there. Nothing special; just a casual "Good morning" or "Hello there!" People never seem to listen to the animals anymore, but they are really missing out...
Anyways, after I found breakfast, I cooked it, and presented some to Red when he woke up. He ate it tentatively, but after the first bite, he finished it very quickly. He seems to really like my cooking.
Travel that day was uninteresting. Neither of us really talked. We just sat in silence. Finally, near the end of the day, I got the courage to ask Red what Maze wanted him to do. Red explained that he was sent to negotiate with a pirate who had stolen Maze's gold. He refused to say anything else about the mission though (edited)
