I had a dream last night...
It was about her... What's her name again? Noelle, I believe? This time, it was just the two of us, around twilight. She was walking towards me, smiling. I was smiling too and was walking towards her also. As she walked, her white dress swished to and fro, shining with a light that seemed to come from within the fabric itself. We finally met, and without a word, she extended a hoof towards me. I took it, and we began to dance. For over an hour, we danced in the woods, and it was dark when we finally stopped dancing. We just stood there, our hands still holding the other's. Then, she let go of my paw, and started walking backwards. I took a step forward, and paused, not knowing what to do next. Then, she vanished into thin air, but before she did, I noticed a tear come to her eye, and she frowned in sorrow.
I don't know why, but I felt strange... It was like happiness, but far stronger of a feeling. But when she left, I felt an overwhelming sorrow wash over me, more so than usual. I yearned for her to come back, for her to stay with me longer. I am unsure what this feeling is, but I hope I can have more dreams like this.
I woke up after this, and saw Alfred cooking some porridge, facing away from me. When he heard me, he turned around and seemed startled, as if not expecting me to be there. "Ralsei, where did you go? You just disappeared, with your clothes and hat in a pile on the bed. I thought something happened to you." I looked at him, confused. "What do you mean? I went to sleep as soon as my head hit the pillow, and woke up just now." Alfred relaxed, and took a seat on an old stool. "I see. So you have the power of intangibility when you sleep. How interesting... I didn't think that trait would pass on to you when we used that animal-" He paused, as if he almost let something out that shouldn't be said. "Alfred, what did you mean by-" I asked. Alfred frowned. "It seems I have let the secret out. Ralsei... You are... undead. We created you many years ago." I then realized that was why I had the scars everywhere. "Alfred... You mean... I see." I trailed off. "Well, I am glad to be alive, regardless of how I came to be." Alfred smiled. "I'm glad to hear that. Now, let me teach you two new spells, so you will be more prepared when you go on your mission today.
Alfred then got right into teaching me two spells; animal messenger, and cure wounds. "I'm sure these will help you out on your mission today. Wait... Do you remember the other spells I taught you?" I said yes.
I was fully aware of my magical capabilities, thanks to my spell book-
wait... I was missing almost all my items. Hopefully the others had gotten my stuff from where the guards had taken them from us.
Anyway, back to the entry...
Alfred told me that they had been working on necromancy in a cave to my right. But it had gotten out of hand, and none of the members could go in, because it was unsafe. However, I was able to enter the cave because of my undead nature. The head mage accompanied me going into the cave. When I went in, I noticed many bright bluish-white crystals on the walls, and as I went deeper, I noticed crystallized webs of the same color. How curious... However, I did not watch my step as I wandered in the cave, and I stepped on an uneven spot in the ground, and I fell. The head mage tried to catch me, but he was too far behind, and I plummeted down the abyss. "Don't worry Ralsei, I will try to-" He paused, and then screamed. "They're coming! Run, Ralsei! Run as fast as you can!" He then ran back to the entrance, and soon I could no longer hear his footsteps. I did as he instructed and ran for a good five minutes until I saw a wondrous sight in front of me. What stood before me was some amazing ruins. But what captivated my interest the most was a pot full of black liquid. I peered inside, and thought I saw something, but as the smell in the pot filled my nose, I became woozy and blacked out. I woke up to find myself in a completely different area in the cave. I noticed that I was in the middle of a web, with the strands half-crystalized. I figured a spider must have made the web recently. Sure enough, I looked around and saw a spider finishing up the web. I tried asking it some questions, but it just ignored me and continued working. It was then that I noticed that it had crystals unnaturally fused to its back. I tried to look around more, but I couldn't focus, and my vision became blurry when I tried to look in the distance. I did notice however, more spiders with the same cave crystals fused to them. I looked back at the first spider, the only one I could see somewhat clearly, and noticed that its eyes were light blue, like the crystals, and its fangs had a clear liquid dripping from it. Of course, the spiders had to be venomous... I sat there stuck until I felt a warm light appear from the corner, and heard a familiar voice...
