Kek

A large stretch of land sits between the mainland and the Cacius Sea, known as Kek. Stretching miles along the coast, this mass of land is no longer habitable for many life forms on the continent due to excessive 'poisoning' from past events. There is one road and bridge still standing as a means of traveling to and from Kek but prolonged stays are not recommended, travelers often feel sick after spending more than a day or two there.   The land was poisoned in a time of war and unrest, as a last resort for the people of Raux, a ritual to summon the ancient green dragon Drukarrn to assist in the destruction of the advancing enemy from the sea. It is unknown exactly what kind of deal was struck with the beast but it followed the human fighters into battle and obliterated thousands of foes, tainting the land for thousands of years to come. It is rumored that Raux sacrificed a number of skilled fighters and heroes to the dragon in return for the assistance, the city would have surely fallen if not for this deal.   The land today is littered with old stockpiles from the war times, often really old weapons, ammunition and supplies can be found beneath the sprawling plant life on the ground. Poisons and other harmful substances ooze from the surface, avoid touching anything with bare skin if possible. A whole host of structures in various stages of disrepair and abandonment are scattered across the land, mostly succumbing to the overgrowth and harsh environments.
