Highland Hills

The Highland Hills of New Keeleon is a gated community where the upper caste and ruling elite of the city have residences. It is a part of the larger Pipestones District of the New Keeleon in the Queendom of Keeleon of Tarteria.   Of note, the home of Argilla, son of Kla, a prominent artist, is located in the Highland Hills.

Description

The gated community is located on the high, hilly northeastern sections of the city. Many of the upper caste and ruling elite have residences here. Guards are stationed to only allow those with relavent business into the area.   The area is well-maintained and includes a number of greenery areas, pavilions, and small parks. The parks are orcish in nature, which show natural, wild growth areas instead of trimmed and cultivated floral plants.

Argilla's Home

Argilla’s home is a stone house made of different sized stones and bricks. It is three stories tall, but rather narrow and built right between the adjacent homes. A brick chimney sits on an angled, red roof. The door is made of simple, dark oak.   There are large, white windows and a balcony on the second floor looking out towards the Rexun River. On the windowsills and on the banister of the balcony are flowerboxs of white edelweiss flowers.   The interior is simple, but nice and clean. Various small trinkets and memorabilia are on the shelves and above the fireplace mantle. There is a dedicated art studio, which has a bay window that looks out towards the west. The room is filled with art supplies, canvases, and paint.

History

The Fifth Age: The Age of Beginnings
At some point before Adroth 5A 352, Argilla, son of Kla, acquired his home in the district.   On 14 Adroth 5A 352, Argilla invited the Lightbringers to his home in the district. Argilla spoke with the guards to allow the group access. At Argilla's home, they met Al'phonas Muchaelas and the group discussed many topics related to the Lightbringers’ goals.   From 14 Adroth to 16 Adroth 5A 352, Chaka created a masterwork painting of the Great Phoenix at Argilla’s home, with the assistance of the Lightbringers.   On 16 Adroth 5A 352, Chaka completed the masterwork painting at Argilla's home. Several of the group completed final errands before returning to Argilla’s home, and they all departed to the “History and Heroes” showing later that day.   On 17 Adroth, Al’phonas told Chaka Argilla had taken in Nedurr, since he showed promise with sculpture. Chaka stopped by Argilla’s home. He gave Nedurr a small painting of them as a gift. Chaka set aside a bag of coins for Argilla, with the intent to purchase his “Paint No Mountain High Enough” painting.
