Tiverminster Woods
Tiverminster Woods is a peaceful yet lively stretch of forest nestled in Eastbridge Vale in the Kingdom of Kildare on the Isle of Baeddon. Although relatively safe, the forest does attract the occasional bandit seeking refuge within its trees, making it a site where travelers are advised to be alert. It has been a long-standing resource for nearby settlements like Eastbridge and Twinview, as farmers and foragers often venture into the woods.
The woods once suffered an infestation of giant spiders that preyed on the livestock of local farmers. With the aid of a hired group of adventurers, these threats were eradicated, much to the relief of the farmers. However, the removal of the spiders has left an unintended consequence: giant flies now plague the area. Though these oversized pests are far less dangerous, they are a persistent nuisance, especially to those working the fields or tending to livestock.
The woods are surrounded by varied landscapes, with the damp, dangerous Boora Bog to the north and the rolling red clay of the Scarlet Hills to the west. The nearby halfling town of Twinview to the east, known for its friendly and hospitable folk, has also taken a keen interest in keeping the woods well-traveled, as they frequently forage there for medicinal herbs and wild edibles, often using it as a training ground for halfling children who have joined the Wolf Scouts. Despite the occasional trouble, Tiverminster Woods remains a place of relative calm.
