Llyreth Forest

Llyreth Forest, located in the Kingdom of Kildare, is an ancient and sprawling woodland that stretches northward from the town of Clanna Nee. Its towering trees, thick with age, form a dense canopy that filters the sunlight into soft, emerald hues. The forest is a place of both beauty and mystery, with winding trails that twist through groves of ancient oaks, moss-covered stones, and streams that babble quietly beneath fern-covered banks.   Despite its tranquil appearance, Llyreth Forest harbors a wild and untamed spirit. The deeper you venture, the more disorienting it becomes, with paths that seem to shift and animals that appear as fleeting shadows. The forest is steeped in fey magic, with rumors of elusive creatures like dryads and pixies watching from the underbrush. It is not uncommon for travelers to report strange phenomena, such as hearing laughter on the wind or finding themselves hopelessly lost despite walking a familiar path.   To the east, the forest gradually gives way to the dramatic Cliffs of Du'Derry, where the towering rock face meets the sea. The contrast between the thick woods and the open, windswept cliffs is striking, with sharp gusts of wind carrying the scent of salt and brine into the forest. The cliffs are sacred to some of the locals, who believe them to be a border between the material world and a realm beyond, with many stories of travelers disappearing near the cliffs, only to return changed—or not at all.   Llyreth Forest is rich in both natural and mystical resources, providing fine timber, herbs, and game, but also serving as a source of powerful ingredients sought by druids and herbalists. The local Daoine hold a deep reverence for the forest, believing it to be home to old spirits that guard the land and punish those who do not respect its balance.
