Boora Bog
Boora Bog is a vast, eerie wetland situated north of Eastbridge and east of the Gallymoore Mountains, shrouded in mist and thick with treacherous pools of water and dense vegetation. The land is marked by its dark, murky waters, the twisted forms of ancient trees, and a pervasive sense of unease that seems to cling to anyone who dares to wander too far into its depths. The air is thick with the scent of decay, and strange noises—croaking frogs, distant wails, and the rustling of unseen creatures—fill the night.
At the heart of Boora Bog resides the Boora Bog Coven, three powerful hags who have lived there for as long as anyone can remember. The coven consists of Sweet Sophia, Auntie Toadstool, and Mother Mayeye. They are known to grant wishes and favors to those desperate enough or foolhardy enough to go and ask them. But these favors are never without a price.
The bog is also the lair of the black dragon, Ydarion the Night Cutter, whose presence casts an even darker shadow over the region. Ydarion is a brutal and cunning dragon who has claimed the bog as his territory, and the very waters of Boora seem to bend to his will, becoming more toxic and dangerous in his presence. His lair is hidden deep within the bog, surrounded by treacherous marshes and guarded by both the terrain and his loyal minions.
The Burnfist Clan of kobolds worship Ydarion as a living god, serving him with fanatical devotion. These kobolds have built crude structures on stilts to avoid sinking into the muck. They scavenge the bog and surrounding lands for treasures to offer Ydarion, hoping to win his favor and avoid his wrath.
Boora Bog is a place of danger, where ancient magic, treachery, and malevolent forces rule. Few who enter return unchanged, and those who do are haunted by the horrors they have witnessed.
