Glass District
Overview
The Glass District is a primarily residential and semi-industrial district of Copper Ring. It is home to a variety of craftspeople, guild members, city functionaries. There are also a number of factories here that produce highly specialized components and materials for use elsewhere in the city, most notorious -- glass. Glass blowing, crafting, and cutting are all important industries here. As the base silicates and sand used in the creation of glass are somewhat harder to come by in Novus and glass being an important construction material for the ongoing reconstruction efforts, the Glass District is an important focal point of industry within the city.
The focus on this trade and its interconnected nature in the city's affairs have brought a number artisans and tradesmen to live in this district and maintain workshops where they can both create, collaborate, and peddle their wares to the upper crust of the city. The Glass District is full of climbers looking to make a name for themselves in the city, most unaware they are about to make contact with Novus's glass ceiling.
