Ither Market
"The bustle and commerce of the Ither Market was the envy of every other market in the world. It is said that every fresh fruit, every fresh vegetable, every grain and cloth and flower and weapon and food can be gotten from one of its hundreds of colourful stalls. It is also said that the shops here are very expensive and merchants here are difficult to haggle with, but that is to be expected from such a trading hub." ~ The City of Cities
Purpose / Function
Ither Market is one of the three main markets in Gratic City, and by far the busiest and largest of those three. Only the Main Market Square of Bindi could possibly compare in terms of size or variety of things for sale. Many inns, taverns, and storage areas ring the square, perfect for travelling merchants or weary adventurers.
Alterations
The square has been enlarged many times over its history, and most recently by the predecessor of the current Emperor. Each time, shops and warehouses have had to be moved to make room, and many people become disgruntled.
Architecture
The square is extremely flat and made of local stone like the Ring Road that leads in and out of this square. There is also a smaller pair of roads that lead to the centre of town and Caldia Park, and another wide one that heads to the Anotaash Gate and the edge of the city.
