Private Park

"Halt! This location is for the strict use of the Imperial Council, its guests, and respected dignitaries. All other trespassers will be fined!"   ~a sign at the gates of the park

Purpose / Function

This park is strictly for the use of the Imperial Council and its members, as well as any guests and dignitaries that are permitted express access to the park. Quiet conversation and small debates are the usual uses of this area, as the trees and distance from the bustle of the capital's streets muffles any sound from this area.

Architecture

The park is surrounded by a sturdy wrought-iron fence that only has a single wooden gate that is perpetually guarded. Beyond that, one can easily see the large number of short trees, bushes, and flower beds that give the area a very natural feel. A small wooden-plank path leads into the closest grove of trees.

History

The park used to be the private garden of a local noble, but when that noble's family were tried for treason during the Year of Storms, their lands were forfeited to the state. The Imperial Council made the area into a private park (hence the name) in 83 I , and the park has been a small fixture of the Temple District ever since.
