The Fox & Spoon Inn
"For those who are not looking for an expensive place to rest your head but still crave the finer things in life, there is the Fox & Spoon in Ither District. Fine wines and high-quality beers can be had here with some of the best food that one can expect for a cheap and affordable price. And the best part: if you wish it, they can bring the food and drink to your room!" ~ The City of Cities
Purpose / Function
This business sells service and enough rooms to send it to, and a great deal of care has gone into creating the atmosphere of a country estate in the centre of Gratic City. Space is commonly full, so it is a very elite group that find their way here. The food here is of an excellent quality but not prohibitively expensive, and the liquors served are reasonably good as well.
Secretly, the place serves as a way for The Thieves' Collective to keep an ear to the ground. In exchange for helping the inn get set up, they collect information from the various patrons. Servants and cooks have been trained in basic espionage, and a hooded agent of the Collective comes twice a week to bring the information to the members of the guild.
booking half of a cottage is 11sp, but booking a whole cottage is 2gp (a discount).

Alterations
Most recent work on the inn has created a garden in the centre of the complex with a restroom surrounded by birch trees and beds of yellow and orange flowers.
Architecture
The main building is where the cooking of food and the assignment of rooms takes place, and it is a very large building in itself, built of solid stone and strong wood. The smells of roasting meats and exotic spices attract guests and casual diners alike.
Each of the "rooms" here is actually either the upper level or the lower level of a small two-level cottage. They aren't particularly fancy, attempting to emulate the experience of being a farmer in the fields outside of the city. Only a pair of beds and a chest of drawers are in each portion of the building.
History
The inn used to be a large collection of smaller shops and slums that got torn down by the Thieves' Collective to make way for a new guildhall. At that point, the imperial government began to crack down on the Collective and then it was decided that having an inn under their control on the site was better for business. Enter Meti Lódrages, and with him they found someone who would keep mum about his dealings with the Collective and would be ideally suited to use their information to good use. He designed and built the inn, with the garden being a recent addition.
