Geography
Located on the shore of Varisia Bay in the country of Varisia on the continent of Avistan.
A stone wall offers the town a bit of protection, starting at the ocean running along the northern part of the village until it reaches the Turandarok River. The river offers the town protection along its eastern side. Here, the Lost Coast Road passes through a stone gatehouse that is generally watched by guards. As you continue your descent:
To the west of the city: A large up thrust limestone pavement known as the Devil’s Platter and the arc of rocky outcroppings and lightly forested hilltops that rise up just east of town. The plateau rises a good 3000 feet above normal sea level.
To the east of the city: A large grassy hill, along with what appears to be the biggest lighthouse anyone has ever seen rise on the west side of the town. The lighthouse looks mostly crumbled, as if something destroyed it many years ago. A closer look reveals its built into the side of a cliff in the northwestern section of town overlooking the Varisian Gulf. The cliff face is about 120 feet in height, with the tower stretching up another 50 feet, making the total height of the Lighthouse approximately 170 feet over sea level. Its crown is a tumble of weather-beaten stones, ruined long ago.
To the south: Separated by the Sandpoint Harbor, on a bluff overlooking the village looks to be four large manors surrounded by lush green trees. The manors look to be huge stone structures, massive for being built outside a city. Down below the bluff, sand surrounds the bluff, which would allow for swimming and relaxation.
