Clearing the Fort

As I rested, I realized that I made an error in my last entry. The wight was a specter, not a wight. They are similar, and it made a catchy name, but I would be remiss if I failed to correct my own mistakes, as few as they may be.
 
After we started the stampede of the shocker lizards, Billy started up some songs to inspire us to greatness, and I teleported us back to the room at the top of the tower where we had battled Lucretia. The fire that we had left behind had burned out, leaving only ash, ruin, and crispy lamia bodies. I could make use of them, but I will wait until there comes a use before I bother.
 
In response to Billy continuing to play his music, the bell below us began to ring. We descended upon them and slaughtered the ogre inhabitants quickly, and began to attack the ogres below from the our new defensible position of the tower. Jakardros and Shalelu shot arrows into the ogres below as Kat and Minion defended the entryway. I burned five ogres to a crisp with a fireball as they tried to get to closer to our tower. Johana burned the one that was outside of the area of my fireball.
 
I decided that we needed an easy, safe way to clear out the fort and scout ahead for ogre forces. I used my sorcery to raise 12 ogre zombies and 10 lamia zombies, sending them to slaughter the ogres in the first floor of the keep. The remaining zombies were destroyed by a massive ogre and his remaining ogre minions. We then walked through the building, searching for things that could be useful to us on our way to kill the massive ogre and his ogre witch.
 
We set up outside the only entrance to where they were waiting to die. Kat and Minion were set to hold the line at the doorway. As soon as the doors opened, I started the battle by launching a fireball on him and his minions, killing three ogres and wounding the massive ogre and his lieutenant. Shalelu shot the ogre witch with an arrow, wounding her, and Minion unleashed a salvo of grenades onto the massive ogre, the witch, the lieutenant, amd some of his ogres.
 
The lieutenant charged towards our door, attacking Minion and Kat, failing miserably to open a gap as they bravely held the line, and Kat tore him to shreds. After seeing his lieutenant die a quick, gruesome death, the massive ogre charged forward to attack Minion and Kat, wounding Kat as Minion remained unharmed. I was sure that if they were to fall, he could kill the rest of us with ease.
 
Johana flew up behind Minion and Kat, and breathed fire twice on the massive ogre and a few of his minions, including the witch. Johana kept up her stream of flame, dropping the massive ogre and burning the witch further.
 
Apparently that gave her an idea, and the witch hit us with three fireballs, wounding several of us and dropping Shalelu. While I was grateful that my own heritage and magical defenses protected me from the flames, I was very angry as I thought that I might have just seen my long-time friend die before me. I commanded Minion to save her as I gathered my magic for a furious onslaught. After rending an ogre with his ogre hook (a very fitting choice of weapon), he stated "Will do, boss!" as he put down the hook and took to stabilizing her wounds. I saw Vale Temros rush forward and end the lives of four ogres with his axes. I unleashed three fireballs on the witch. I think the first might have dropped her, but I sent the other two just to be sure, and besides, I was angry with her. So much for her arcane resistance, it was not good enough to save her life.
 
The fort has been cleansed of evil. It will take a lot more to clean up the mess and restore it to its glory.
