Good Riddance, Aldern

We realized that we needed some help and went the short trek back to town to get Father Zentus, Iarra the Elven rogue, Vicky the part-Elven ranger, and Storm Shadow. As I was contemplating the mysteries of the universe, I heard two arrows flying, launched by Vicky, as they hit some ghouls that were attempting to ambush us on the way back. Billy broke into song, and Iarra wounded one with her sword. I created a large ice storm engulfing five in ice shards amd hail. The rest were destroyed by the others.
 
Upon returning we were attacked by a carrion swam, a murder of undead crows. Storm Shadow and Vicky killed many by throwing molotov cocktails into the air and them igniting those by hitting them midair with an arrow. I destroyed the remainder with a fireball.
 
We eventually found the foul chamber that contained my stolen items. The creep, Aldern, that took them was sitting at the desk. He stood up blathered on for a bit before attacking.
Vicky cut him off by shooting him with an arrow and Aldern started crying and his voice shifted to the voice of another and yammered on and changed to a third voice, followed by him putting on a magical evil mask. The fight was on!
 
Billy broke into song and Johana breathed fire on Aldern as he evaded her flames, wounding him further as he cackled maniacally. Iarra cut into Aldern with her blade and moved to get out of his immediate reach. Aldern attacked Johana, Kat (wounding him), and Vicky with a machete, incapacitating Vicky in one hit. Kat clawed into Aldern, wounding him. I summoned Minion to the fight and read a holy scroll that fired a bolt of holy light into Aldern. Storm Shadow's arrow came out of the shadows and stuck into Aldern. Aldern cut Johana and Kat, wounding them. Storm Shadow put another arrow into Aldern. Johana breathed fire at Aldern, who dodged into Minion's maul, dropping him to the ground. Minion finished off the remaining goblin ghasts with a grenade from his grenade launcher.
 
Father Zentus cleansed the home, Minion smashed the lich phylactery with his maul, and the house was free of the taint. After resting at Sandpoint for a bit we took Egon's self-driving lightning wagon to Magnimar. It took us about 3 days, insread of the usual 5 days by horseback.
