On the Way to Thistletop

Off a hallway were some stairs going down, with rubble blocking it. For a moment I saw scribbles in blood, in the Abyssal language, that had messages of horror and death. We did not go down. We might go down later. We also found stairs going up, to Sandpoint, but it was also blocked by rubble. I was curious about where it might lead. We might have to come back later if we find a good way to excavate the rubble.

A bit later we found an unconscious half-orc in a hallway. He, Ooore, joined our group. He seems pretty tough, but he is very talkative. I find that kind of annoying.

We went back to that mean statue and I painted a menacing mustache on it and some pointy mean eyebrows. It somehow seemed angry at what I had done. Probably unrelated, we were later attacked by five flying heads in a hallway. I saw them in the book as a vargouille. They hurt no one and were destroyed quickly. According to the book they can be deadly, but we disagreed.

We entered a large cavern with a cathedral to Lamashtu. An angry quasit dripped blood into an evil pool and then yelled at us. She then turned invisible. Noting that, I promptly cast a spell so our group could see the invisible, and Minion smashed a sin spawn. The others fought sin spawn and skeletons. Ooore and Minion ran up to the quasit, wounding her and I finished her off with a fire bolt.

One of the pools is a rune well of wrath, and absorbs the soul of wrathful person when they die. I deduced how to destroy it, and so I did. We went back to town and rested so we can kill Tsuto's girlfriend in Thistletop, a goblin stronghold.

Inuyasha led us to Thistelop by tracking the goblins as we used stealth to evade their patrols. We eliminated one of the patrols on our way to their fortress. It was hidden by a not-so-secret door that led to a thorny maze. Minion carried me like the gentleman he is through the maze as he blazed through it. Kat had drank a potion that made him smaller, to the size of a goblin or halfling. He was so cute we all had to pet and love him.

We found the remainder of the goblin tribe we had been hunting. Minion launched a grenade into the middle of them, and I shot one with a fire bolt. The others charged in and wreaked havoc. We found a kennel of goblin dogs and some goblins. Minion launched two grenades and slaughtered them.

We found a pit that dropped down into some water beyond the limits of our dark vision. We dropped some goblin parts to it a monster below. As we turned around, a goblin druid and his pet cougar approached us. Kat seduced the cougar. The goblin gave us some information on Chief Ripnugget, Nualia, and some of their mean friends that need killing. After questioning the goblin, Minion tossed him to the monster in the darkness below.
