Cúlán (COO-lawn)
Seraphiel Barzillai and Louis Fontaine's Home
Cúlán, a name rooted in the ancient Celtic tongue, translates to 'little nook' or 'cozy corner,' echoing the nest-like comfort and sanctuary it provides to Seraphiel and Louis. Situated in the mystical swamps of Tir na nOg that mirror the lush, enigmatic realms of outer New Orleans, their home is a marvel of open, airy design, seamlessly blending the indoors with the natural world. The walls are largely made of glass and retractable panels, allowing for an uninterrupted view of the dense foliage and misty waters that define their surroundings.
The heart of Cúlán is its towering structure, a slender spire that stretches skyward, topped with a platform designed specifically for Seraphiel. From this lofty perch, he takes flight, his angelic wings unfurling with grace, soaring above the realm to watch over the land they call home. This tower is not just a launchpad but a symbol of their connection to both earth and sky, grounding yet liberating.
Below, the living spaces are designed with an eclectic mix of Norman opulence and minimalist Celtic aesthetics, reflecting both Louis's vibrant personality and Seraphiel's tranquil essence. Every corner of Cúlán whispers tales of their lives, from cozy nooks filled with books and games to wide-open spaces that host gatherings under the stars. The fusion of styles creates a living environment that is both energizing and soothing, a perfect sanctuary for a pair as unique as they are.
