Khotar Tabithis (KHOH-tar Tah-BEE-thiss)
Scythian Home
Khotar Tabithis is a large, beautifully crafted yurt, imbued with the magic of Tabiti, the goddess of fire and hearth. It stands as a sacred dwelling for Thyra Aregia, Rheya Anaris, and Nodaros Parychi, who embody the Scythian spirit of fire and wandering. The yurt is a symbol of their nomadic roots, constructed from materials that reflect their culture—rich woolen fabric stretched over intricately carved wooden supports, with symbols of flame and protection woven into every inch. The open layout allows the sacred fire in the center to be the focal point, constantly burning in honor of Tabiti, filling the space with warmth and a sense of home.
There are no walls or separate rooms in Khotar Tabithis. Instead, the entire space is an open, circular room where the three inhabitants share their lives in a fluid and natural way. The large fire pit in the middle serves as both a physical and spiritual hearth, its flames magically never extinguishing, even when the yurt is moved. Around the edges of the room, carefully placed Scythian artifacts—from weapons to religious items—adorn the space, telling the story of their past. The layout ensures that while the home is open, it is still intimate and sacred, a place where life, spirituality, and purpose coexist.
The magical properties of Khotar Tabithis reflect the wandering nature of its inhabitants. It can be moved with just a thought, transported instantly to a new location in Tir na nOg or beyond. When not in use, the yurt can be folded down to the size of a small token, easily carried in one’s pocket until it is time to place it in a new location. This mobility allows Thyra, Rheya, and Nodaros to continue their tradition of wandering while maintaining the comfort and protection of their sacred hearth, no matter where their journeys take them.
