Ngurra-Ganya (NGOO-rah GAHN-yah)

Birrani Weatherall and Yindi Weatherall's Home

Ngurra-Ganya is nestled in a scenic outback region of Tir na nOg, designed as a modern homage to traditional Australian architecture. The structure features a blend of rustic elements like weathered wood and locally sourced sandstone, complementing the rugged outback terrain. Expansive glass walls offer panoramic views of the desert landscape, allowing the residents to engage in their passion for star gazing and photography from the comfort of their home.   Internally, Ngurra-Ganya is equipped with advanced technology, facilitating their interests in astronomy, photography, and digital arts. The home includes an observatory with a retractable roof, a high-tech darkroom, and a library stocked with philosophical and technological texts. Decor includes a fusion of Indigenous art and vibrant landscape photographs, creating a bridge between ancient heritage and modern expression.   Outdoor features are thoughtfully integrated into the surrounding wilderness, with trails that weave through the bushland and a sustainable garden that nurtures local flora and fauna. Ngurra-Ganya is not just a residence but a celebration of the Australian spirit of adventure and inquiry.
