Feels like I’ve been out in the jungle for aaaages, it’s weird that I’ve gotten so used to the school and the dorms that I kind of started to miss it. Or maybe it was just the food I missed, the all you can eat stuff was great. The wasp meat was kind of gross but I’d have the rest again. I could look into being a chime dinger or whatever they’re called if they eat like that all the time. They did actually pay us for our work too rather than calling it a ‘benefit for the community’ like the school does.

I hope they do send that letter to teacher Ulawa, it would really annoy her to waste her time reading about how awesome we are. And we are doing pretty great. Nobody nearly died, I killed most of the bugs that attacked us and put my amazing healing techniques into practice. The others looked doubtful but they can’t argue with the results.

What they can argue with, apparently, is whether I get to have two birthdays or not. Most people are only born once, Cualli says. Well, sucks to suck. I get two.

I’ll tell the others at the Spire dorm about it when we get back. I should probably talk to the cat separately, he seemed upset when we left… Maybe half a bottle of rum will help smooth things over.
