I don’t want to hear anything about my handwriting, I know you can read this.

I did have time to have fun first, I got drunk in an inn outside Nantambu for a couple of days but I arrived at the school with minutes to spare. So there.

You probably know already but they've let me in. The tests were all ‘think around the problem’ rather than testing actual magic, not as strict as you would have been.

I was in a group. They seemed nervous, didn’t do much at first so I had to pass the first two trials for them. After that they got the hang of it. There was something strange about them though and one of them mentioned sharing a dream from three years ago, was that one of yours? I'll have to think about it later.

Not now though, I have a headache from when the teacher gave me a spell. Just twinkling lights, kind of useless. I can already hear you say something like ‘small beginnings’ or ‘it’s your first day’ but isn’t this supposed to be the best place to learn proper magic?

I want you to know that I won’t be visiting any libraries for at least a week, I’m going to enjoy myself. The past can wait.
